Purpose of Changing These Settings in Maya

The purpose of changing each tool is to customize the vent the way we want it to be.  You want multiple edge loops and want a certain number of edge loops so you change those settings. You also want it to not automatically complete the loop before you re done. This will change how many loops you can make and if you want multiple edge loops. Then if you ant it to auto complete then that decides if it will complete it automatically.
